Originally planned to train as a vet, but fainted during a work experience placement and chose acting instead. Ultimately chose to not go to university, but had a place on-hold for two years at London's Courtauld Institute to study History of Art. Despite appearing in 28 Weeks Later (2007)and Fright Night (2011), confessed to not being a fan of actually watching horror films. Starred in an advert for H&M's Marni collection in 2012, which was directed by Sofia Coppola. Won the The Hamptons International Film Festival Award for Breakthrough Performer in Knight of Cups in 2012. Won the British Independent Film Award for Best Supporting Actress in The Look of Love in 2013. When performing and driving in Need For Speed with Aaron Paul in 2014, she did not have a driving licence. Played Honey in Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? broadcast via National Theatre Live on 18 May 2017 from the Harold Pinter Theatre in the London West End. Was nominated for the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role in 2018.
