Alexz Johnson

Has eight years of operatic training and a four-octave range. Is the sixth of 10 children. Began singing at age 3 and was performing at local festivals, schools and charity events by age 7. Won a Canadian national-anthem singing contest at age 11. Big break came when she was cast in 2000 as Annie Thelan on the Disney series So Weird for its final season. Wrote several of the songs she performed on the CTV series Instant Star. Won a 2008 Gemini Award for Best Performance in a Children's or Youth Program or Series for Instant Star. TV and theatrical film appearances include Devil's Diary, Stranger With My Face (both on Lifetime) and Final Destination 3. Portrayed Saturn Girl in a 2009 episode of Smallville. Released her debut album Voodoo in 2010.
