A small mustache and squinty eyes placed this B-Western supporting player squarely among the less desirable denizens of the Old West. In films from the late '30s, Parkinson (born Clifford Emmitt Pixley Parkinson) rode with most of the well-known hissables, including Republic Pictures' main villains, Leroy Mason and Roy Barcroft. Although often merely a member of the posse, Parkinson was awarded good roles in several Hopalong Cassidy entries in the mid-'40s. Parkinson died at the Motion Picture Country House and Hospital.
