A supporting actress/singer in early German film musicals (Rund um Eine Million [1931], Es War Einmal ein Walzer [1932]), Trude Rosen (born Gertrude Rozen) changed her name to Gerta Rozan after escaping Hitler's Germany. She appeared on Broadway in the short-lived (11 performances) Window Shopping (1938) and popped up in several Hollywood films of the 1940s, most notably (if that is the word) in PRC's The Panther's Claw (1942), in which she played the murder victim. Rozan was also in Yvonne De Carlo's Song of Scheherazade (1947) and returned to Broadway in the American Theatre Group's Grandma's Diary the following year.
