Listed in some sources as a director, Lawrence Kimble seems to have limited his Hollywood career to screenwriting. A contract writer at Warner Bros. from 1937 to 1940, Kimble worked on such "B" projects as Beloved Brat (1938) and Adventures of Jane Arden (1939), and such larger-budgeted fare as Submarine D-1 (1937) and It All Came True (1940). He spent the 1940s as a free-lancer, working for studios ranging from mighty MGM to humble Republic. One of his assignments during this period was the irresistibly titled Zombies on Broadway (RKO, 1945). Lawrence Kimble closed out his career with Columbia's Two of a Kind (1951).
