Olga Segura was born in Mexico City and grew up in different places: Panama, Saltillo and Monterrey.Olga decided to start her acting studies at Casa Azul in Mexico City, while attending production seminars along with executive producer, Tita Lombardo (Babel, Amores Perros). Olga then moved to Los Angeles to extend her studies and attended Stella Adler Studio and The Acting Corps where actors like Salma Hayek and Benicio del Toro have studied. In Mexico, Olga participated in theater with the play Pizza Man, directed by Eduardo Arroyuelo. In 2010 she made her debut in English with the play La Casa de Bernarda Alba by Federico Garcia Lorca, directed by Frayne Rosanoff, at the Underground Theater in L.A. Her American debut is with the film Cellmates, alongside Tom Sizemore, Kevin Farley, Stacey Keach and Hector Jimenez. The movie will hit theaters on June 2012. Olga has also filmed Hidden Moon, a film by the producers of Selena and directed by Pepe Bojorquez. Cast includes Ana Serradilla, Wes Bentley, Hector Jimenez and Osvaldo De Leon, to be released in 2012. The actress will also be seen, with a small participation, in the movie Goats, which premiered at Sundance Film Festival at the beginning of 2012 and is expected to be released in theaters soon. The film is directed by Christopher Neil and stars David Duchovny and Vera Farmiga. Olga also founded the production company, "Producciones a Ciegas" along with his brother Juan Carlos Segura and fellow actor and friend Héctor Jiménez. The company has produced several films, one of them is Mar Muerto, a co-production with Ignacio Ortiz and Carlos Carrera, with the actors Joaquin Cosio, Aida Lopez and Ana Ofelia Murguia, among others. Another production, is the film Marcelo, starring Aarón Díaz. Héctor Jimenez and Olga Segura are also part of the cast next to Joaquín Cosio, Mario Zaragoza and Laura Zapata. At the end of 2011, Olga wrapped up the shoot of Gabriela Tagliavini's (Ladies' Night, Without Men) new movie, involving an international cast, amongst them, Sharon Stone. In television, Olga made her debut in Mexico in the end of 2011 in the Televisa series El Encanto Del Aguila, by Pedro Torres, set in the Revolution era. In the United States the series aired on Univision. Recenlty, Olga shot the film I Brake for Gringos from writer/director Fernando Lebrija. -- (C) Olga Segura
