Beautiful, Argentinean-born, and French-reared, Paulette Duval became a fixture in Hollywood films of the '20s, playing Poppea in Fox's European-lensed Nero (1922) and Madame Pompadour opposite Rudolph Valentino's gallant barber in Monsieur Beaucaire (1924). A former Ziegfeld Follies dancer, Duval returned to Europe after the changeover to sound and is said to have appeared in several French films.
