Drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the 2007 MLB draft, but chose to attend N.C. State, where he played football and baseball. Earned his bachelor's degree in just three years, and was drafted again in 2010 by the Colorado Rockies. Wilson signed and played 93 minor-league games while still playing college football. Transferred to Wisconsin in 2011, where he led the Badgers to victory as MVP of the first-ever Big Ten Championship Game. Began his record-setting NFL career as Seattle Seahawks quarterback in 2012, winning his first 14 home games. Led the Seahawks to their first Super Bowl title after the 2013 season. Serves as an ambassador for CR3 Diabetes Association (his father had the disease and died in 2010). Delivered the commencement address at the University of Wisconsin in 2016.
