Moved to Mumbai in 2010 to pursue acting, initially with little success. Made his debut as a lead in Yash Raj Films' Mardaani (2014) opposite Rani Mukerji. Won the Life OK Screen Award for Best Actor in a Negative Role for his performance in Mardaani (2014).
