{Danish stage actor William A. Orlamond (aka William H. Orlamond) joined the Philadelphia-based Lubin film company in 1912. Specializing in comedy cameos, Orlamond quickly became a favorite of such professional filmmakers as humorist Will Rogers and producer Hal Roach. He played a variety of eccentric roles in such silents as Seven Keys to Baldpate (1925), The Mill (1927) and The Wind (1928). In talkies, he played such ethnic types as ill-fated pawnbroker Heinie Krantz in Are These Our Children? (1931). Retiring from films in 1932, William A. Orlamond passed away 25 years later, at the age of 90.
