Movie Info

A Treasury Department detective puts his life on the line to prove that a major mafioso, known only as the "Big Fellow," owes $3 million in back taxes. The agent and his assistant go to Chicago to find the crook. Soon they are asking questions; the Big Fellow learns of this and gets suspicious. He then begins killing off those the agents have questioned. Next he threatens the safety of the hero's wife. This causes the agent to reconsider his dangerous job until he hears the courageous words of an aged Italian mother whose son is among the gangster's dead. The daughter of the deceased provides him with all the tax information he needs. The agent then enlists the aid of the crime lord's double-crossing attorney to take Big Fellow to court and convict him.

It serves only to affirm a truism already known to every tax-paying adult: no matter how it is served up, the income tax is a dull and painful subject.
