The type of film that is not being produced anymore, the movie of the week. This rethink of Carrie is not bad thanks to Kay Lenz' grounded performance. Made when telekinesis was all the rage it is more enjoyable as a snapshot of the 70's and Shelley Winters over the top performance than any serious examination of that ability. The Morgans, Brittany & Fairchild, both on their way up also add to the pleasure of this.
