Movie Info

This Rebecca is 10-year-old Shirley Temple, appearing as an aspiring radio singer who, aided by her talent scout Randolph Scott, is found to be irresistible to competing cereal manufacturers who want her on the air for them. Scads of others have found her quite irresistible, too, for this is the little Ms. Temple at her finest. She sings song after song of her favorites, including "On the Good Ship Lollipop," "When I'm with You," "Come and Get Your Happiness," and "Animal Crackers." This piece has nothing to do with the Kate Douglas Wiggin story by the same name.

[Shirley Temple] still has her curls and her winning ways, and she is as busy as ever singing, dancing, and straightening out grownup difficulties.

Mild vehicle shows interesting sets and the nostalgia of radio.
