Movie Info

Ronald Reagan plays Wyatt Earp in all but name in this Technicolor Western from Universal International. Having cleaned up the once lawless town of Tombstone, Frame Johnson Reagan and his two younger brothers, Lute (Alex Nicol) and Jimmy (Russell Johnson), purchase a ranch outside of Cottonwood, AZ. Retirement is not to be, however, as the town is being terrorized by rustler-turned-rancher Kurt Durling (Preston Foster) and his brood of delinquents. When Frame, who has promised Tombstone saloon owner Jeannie Bristow (Dorothy Malone) to finally settle down, refuses the position of marshal, brother Lute takes on the job of cleaning up the town. But Lute is killed by nasty Frank Durling (Dennis Weaver) and when Jimmy takes the law into his own hands, Frame is forced to reverse his prior decision to stay out of the fray.
