Audience Reviews for Blackjack

this was a pilot for a tv show and it was clearly in the wrong fans with Jonn Woo. the problem here is that television wasn't as big as it is now so a John Woo action tv show was never going to have a decent budget. the acting is all over the place and Dolph Lundhegren just hasn't got the charisma to compliment the film. He is just bad in the lead which is a shame because he should of been an interesting actor for Woo to direct. sloppy direction is the main issue here and the story just hasn't got the legs to help it gather an audience. john Woo only has made one great film in america and this isn't it, do yourself a favour and watch face/off. this film doesn't even deserve a night in, it is just a bad film with only the battle scenes to recommend it

Cool made-for-TV action starring Dolph Lundgren as a mercenary suffering from a debilitating phobia acquired during a firefight who is trying to save a supermodel from the hands of a serial killer. Director John Woo does a fantastic job in the excitement and action sequences.
