"10 Cent Pistol" serves as a perfect example of getting what you pay for.
One wishes the director had as burning of an interest in significance as he does trickery and quippery.
If you like puzzles--and don't mind if, when completed, they don't reveal much of interest--you might enjoy this labyrinthine little brain-teaser. If not, you probably won't think it's worth a plugged nickel.
[10 Cent Pistol] has a distinctive voice and enough formal ambition to suggest that first-time feature director Michael C. Martin is worth giving a shot.
Snappy lines, a couple of decent action beats and surprises, but slackly paced and built around two drab leads.
