17 Again (2009)
Critic Consensus: Though it uses a well-worn formula, 17 Again has just enough Zac Efron charm to result in a harmless, pleasurable teen comedy.

Critic Reviews for 17 Again
It relies primarily on charm and unabashed sweetness that perfectly suits Efron's easy grace.
There was nothing here that was particularly funny, new, or inventive.
The film is an intoxicating blend of comedy and fantasy that's really difficult to dislike.
Audience Reviews for 17 Again
Predictable but inventive. Efron is quite charming in this one.
Mike is getting divorced as his wife is fed up with him. He has resented his whole life because it hasn't turned out as he dreamed. When he was a teenager he was popular in school with great potential in basketball. He returns to his school and meets a janitor who grants his wish to return to his youth. He is stuck in his 17 year old hot body. He realises he only wants his wife and family so sets out to win them back. At 17 he is played by the dashing Zac Efron. Very cute! Not the most original storyline but fun none the less. It's a bit like Back to the Future meets 13 again.
An easy, decent film that is aimed at young girls.
17 Again Quotes
|Janitor:||Wondering what might have been.|
|Mike O'Donnell (17 years):||...I want to remind you of September 7th, 1988. It was the first time that I saw you. You were reading Less Than Zero. You were wearing a Guns N' Roses T-shirt I'd never seen anything so perfect. I remember thinking that I had to have you, or I'd die. Then you whispered that you loved me.....at the homecoming dance. And I felt.....so peaceful.....and safe. Because I knew that no matter what happened from that day on.....nothing could ever be that bad. Because I had you.|
|Alex O'Donnell:||And, um, I just want to tell you that you look like my dog.|
|Alex O'Donnell:||Your hair looks like my dog's hair.|
|Alex O'Donnell:||No, it's shiny and soft. We give my dog special food. It's got flax in it. She's a sweetheart. Well, she died.|
|Nicole:||So I look like your dead dog?|
|Alex O'Donnell:||I'm just really nervous, and I've wanted to talk to you for so long.|
|Scarlet O'Donnell:||[squeezing young Mike's face] You look just like my husband...|
