The title character is forced to live in a retirement home after being involved in a severe auto accident. He soon finds himself involved in a battle of wills with the head nurse, whom he suspects is murdering the more troublesome of the residents.

Kirk Douglas is very fine in the lead and Elizabeth Montgomery gets to explore her dark side for a change which she does well. Melodramatic but with a good cast.
