There's nothing wrong with dramatizing a reunion between Huck and Tom. The trouble with "Back to Hannibal" is that the production is too romanticized.
You can bet Twain would have done a far better job than anyone involved here did.
Veteran TV director Paul Krasny does an admirable job re-creating the look and feel of small-town life in the late 1800s... However, while screenwriter Roy Johansen tries to capture the style and tone of the original classic, he is no Mark Twain.
