Movie Info

Film buffs agree that the best of Monogram's Cisco Kid series were produced by Scott R. Dunlap. They are less unanimous in their opinion of star Gilbert Roland: some consider him the best Cisco ever, while others regard him as a tiresome "roue" type, more interested in chasing skirts than bad guys. In Beauty and the Bandit, Cisco (Roland) and Pancho (Martin Garralaga) come to the aid of a lissome senorita (Ramsay Ames) who is in danger of losing her ranch. Our Hero spends plenty of time flailing his fists and riding hell-fer-leather. It would have been better, however, if Gilbert Roland had curbed his tendency to spout romantic poetry, allegedly written by himself.
