Sawyers is an able actor and, as director, handles the twists and turns, psychological and physical as the bodies mount, with a mix of suspense and black humor.

Before I'm Dead is a movie that plays with the boundaries of illusion and reality and the limits of time and space, while dealing with all the metaphysical things caught in between. But it is also a Mistery movie that slowly unravels.

Despite its wild, futuristic exterior, at its core Before I'm Dead is an intelligent and piercing exploration of unstable mental health in the wake of gun violence.
