Bittersweet Symphony is a film with serious plausibility issues; none of the characters come across like real human beings.
Unfocused and inattentive to the emotional and narrative beats on which it hangs itself, Bitterweet Symphony falls flat despite some good work by the cast.
For the prolific Jamie Adams, the healing link between creativity and grief seems to be his stock-in-trade, but this effort fails on every level.
The only redeeming quality of Bittersweet Symphony is that it clocks in at 89 minutes. Dreadfully dull and self-indulgent, this drama stuns with its lack of emotional engagement.
