I found "Body Parts" both fun and macabre at the same time.

April 14, 2020 | Rating: 3.5/5 | Full Review…

Noticeably lacking in tension.

February 5, 2020 | Rating: 2/4 | Full Review… unapologetically ludicrous horror effort that often skirts the very edges of camp without going entirely over.

February 16, 2009 | Rating: 3/4 | Full Review…

I enjoyed what Red does with the material, but the potential is there for a far more stark and disturbing film. Someone remake this one.

July 23, 2007 | Rating: 4/5 | Full Review…

As great drive-in movies go, ones that seem to have an ear to the rail of the zeitgeist, it's hard to ask for more.

October 12, 2004 | Rating: 3/4 | Full Review…

Pretty funny. I don't think that was intended.

Audience Reviews for Body Parts

It was a good idea to create the ultimate body horror, but the poor direction didn't provide any shock or horror. I like the story line and nice acting from Jeff Fahey, but the rest were pretty terrible, The problem with the film is that it's so not scary, though it had some nice action sequences and car chases. It's not horrible but it's not highly enjoyable either.

Based on Maurice Renard's classic short story, "The Hands of Orlac," is good shocking and horrifying film I ever seen. It's horrifying in a Frankensteinian way - great gore effects. The underrated Jeff Fahey gives an strong performance. Brad Dourif gives an memorable small role as the artist, who finds sudden success with his paintings. Director Eric Red does his best work so far as a filmmaker here. I think there was some spectacular stunts in this thriller-horror movie, and many original ideas (especially when Fahey gets in a driving vehicle!), and it never really stops being exciting! - The final scenes are pretty gross, but generally I thought that the movie was good!

This is a pretty good blood and guts type thriller. I usually catch it if i see it being aired on Scream!
