Williams, in his last on-screen role, shines with material that isn't fully fleshed out, showing his ability to pull emotion out of anything and imbue his character with the empathy and understanding only he could...

Boyega holds the film together in a role that strips him of his showman's charisma and replaces it with a nervy, capricious, empathetic intelligence ... But that's not enough to offset frustrating cliches.
All of the actors are terrific.
Boyega's tightly wound but heartfelt interpretation is what helps 892 stand out, along with one of the last screen performances of Michael K. Williams's career.
Boyega, in some of his finest work to date, takes your breath away

Overly edited and filled with flat, informational dialogue, 892 lacks grit and teeth.
