Critic Reviews for Bridegroom
Bloodworth Thomason's film is effective because it tells one couple's story and allows it to implicitly represent thousands of others.
This deeply moving documentary will melt the heart of anyone who sees it.
A poignant, powerful tale of first love and untimely death as well as a practical, frankly undeniable, plea for marriage equality.
Audience Reviews for Bridegroom
Sure it could have been less drippy and relied less on talking heads, but this documentary at least makes up for that with the strength of what it tells: a heartbreaking story about a stupid death, the pain that comes with it and the intolerance of religious people.
Heartbreaking. An important document of the realities of discrimination. Put together in a very competent manner.
