It's nothing enlightening.

A topical and emotionally accessible film that should easily connect with sympathetic viewers, particularly those familiar with the debilitating effects of chronic mental health issues.

Both Platt and Kirke are excellent at avoiding antiquated tropes about mental illness in this realistic story that's written from the heart.

July 22, 2021 | Rating: 3/4 | Full Review…

The movie treats illness as a series of contrivances, an engine that keeps the plot pistoning forward, and the result of this approach is a film that feels lifeless, or worse, reductive.

"Broken Diamonds"... may concern damaged individuals in search of connection and unity, but is neat and tidy to a cheesy fault.
