This terrible B-horror movie director has a nice spin on things and it almost works for the movie, but it gets too corny and too fixated on being amusing and delivering cheesy lines that in other context might could have worked, it actually becomes too much of a satire that it even falls down on itself.

Some of the jokes fall flat, others are badly telegraphed and it weaves in and out of being a documentary and just a film to the point of distraction but it's hard for me to dislike the movie since I've worked with people like this especially the director, Harry Penderecki...only not as likeable. Now I won't mention any names but if I ever see Danial Diaz again I'll have to ask him if he's ever worked with Stevan Mena because I swear that's who Harry's modeled after.
All in all not a bad comedy but not an entirely original one either. The highlight is really the appearances and performances from David (American Werewolf) Naughton, Ellen (Evil Dead) Sandweiss, Brian (Clerks) O' Halloran, Ken (Dawn of the Dead) Foree and most notably Gunner Hansen and Gerry Bednob who steal every scene they're in.

Potentially brilliant idea plagued by awful writing and cheap production values; much like the film within the film.

Nothing special here - even a couple of missteps that ultimately detract from the film. But this should appeal to fans of the horror genre and provide some decent laughs.

a pretty interesting film for film makers

Gave this one a 2nd look; it holds up fairly well as far as the strange world of low-budget film-making goes.

A very watchable mockumentary about a low budget film-maker and his crew attempting to make a horror film in a small town and all the hurdles and pitfalls they encounter.

Has some great moments even if the script isn't as funny as it thinks it is at times.

Worth a rental.

Funny satire that looks at the film industry through the eyes of a terrible B-Horror movie director played by David Naughton (An American Werewolf in London). The film co-stars a collection of great character actors including Brian O'Halloran (Clerks) and Ken Foree (Dawn of the Dead). Also look out for Gunnar Hansen who is pretty hilarious in the film as well. Not the best movie, but you can't fault some veteran horror actors for poking fun of the industry, and having fun while doing it.

A pretty funny and well made mokumentary of a fake horror director.Great to see an all star cast of actors such as Gunnar Hansen(TCM),Ken force(Dawn of the dead), Ellen Sanweiss(the evil dead), and Brain O halloran(Clerks). Kind of like a spinal tap for the horror genre. Just glad this guys movies aren't real

Not hilariously funny but good for a few laughs. The mockumentary style adds to the punchline in places and Brian O'Halloran does a great turn as the hapless Jay. Not your average mainstream flick but destined to be a cult classic with the fan base of Fangoria.

This movie is very funny! A mockumentary about making a horror film. Witty and entertaining, especially if you are a horror movie fan. Look for appearances by some horror icons.

If your tolerance level for off-kilter filmmaking is low, you'd best look elsewhere for your humorous horror fix.

Only reason this film gets even a full star is because of the cast. This movie was such a let down.

With high potential and good actors this was as much of a let down as Postal: The Movie. Sad to see this one to go down like it did
