Burn Notice: The Fall of Sam Axe (2011)
Critic Consensus: Burn Notice: The Fall of Sam Axe is a nifty showcase for the roguish charisma of Bruce Campbell, even if it feels more like an extended television episode rather than a feature film.

Critic Reviews for Burn Notice: The Fall of Sam Axe
It's not bad, but not particularly the best outing for anyone involved.
Campbell can be heroic and self-effacing in the same scene, and his followers will delight in the mixture of blazing action and comedic romp.
Campbell's got the charisma and self-deprecating sense of humor to carry a whole film. We know that. But the Sam presented here isn't nearly as much fun as Campbell gets to be on the show.
Fans should enjoy Campbell's performance, but Sam Axe deserved a more interesting fall.
Has all its bases covered for a successful comedy: a witty script (from the series creator Matt Nix), expert direction (by the series star Jeffrey Donovan) and a flawed but fun character, deftly portrayed by Campbell.
Audience Reviews for Burn Notice: The Fall of Sam Axe
A great blast of an adventure. It's absolutely a wonderful time on the television set with this great prequel to one of the USA Networks best shows, Burn Notice. The shows star, Jeffrey Donovan directs this special made-for tv movie that delivers the shows trademark of dark humor, crisp action and smarts. A thrilling, funny, action-packed and very entertaining movie. Bruce Campbell is perfect, he returns to one of his most popular characters past, bringing lots of fun and energy to the role and showing he is having a great time with this story.
SNL: "What is Burn Notice?" "Is it a reality show about sunglasses?"
This is, in my opinion, the best made-for-TV movie I have ever seen. Bruce Campbell is perfect in this kind of role.
