Audience Reviews for Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee

manipulation was a much greater weapon used by whites against native americans during the move west, and the film does a solid job of dealing with how that manipulation worked. solid script and photography, decent acting, overall fairly inspiring but sad film.

A very well done look at the events leading up to Wounded Knee. The history between the government and the Indians is long and complicated, and I really enjoyed how the movie at least attempted to show some of that complexity. Adrian Quinn was strong, as was August Schellenberg as Sitting Bull. It's a tragic story, but one that needed to be told.

Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee is such a powerful and well done film. The story is factual and takes place in the late 19th Century. During this time a lot of changes were occurring with the expansion of the USA further west, discovery of gold and more that the Indians were at a constant flux. All the sacred land and laws that were passed originally with USA were being constantly changed...I was very shocked in the way people that were humane made others live and parish...very eye opening and done well...must see!
