Movie Info

This perfunctory adaptation of Sinclair Lewis' novel stars Spencer Tracy as Cass Timberlane, an aging Minnesota judge. When the beautiful Lana Turner shows up in Timberlane's court, the judge proposes marriage to her. Their subsequent domestic life is marred by Turner's inability to connect with Timberlane's respectable friends and associates.
