The movie has a serious undertone, lightened from time to time by scenes that don't quite seem to fit, as if the revisions were designed to lighten the mood... Still, I liked it, partly because of the honesty of the love story.
Maybe another director could have exhumed The Cemetery Club. Duke just lowers it carefully into its tomb.
A bitterwseet comedy about the challenges faced by women over fifty face as they try to put the past behind them and move into uncharted territory.
