Derivative, pappy crap. Every bit as bad as you think it might be. At least the first 30 minutes was. We couldn't torture ourselves past that.

Inspiring story! So many great quotes, scenes, and concepts that my husband and I continue to discuss and share. A movie that is worth watching several times and sharing with others as a message of sincere hope in difficult times.

I saw it on opening weekend as a number of my friends were talking about it on social media. In a entertainment culture that seems to often go for the cheap thrill, I appreciated this story dealing with pain, loss and forgiveness. It is both a good film for the family to see, but it was good for my heart.

We need more stories like this. Wholesome and moral without being preachy, poignant, a strong message, and leaves you in a better place when you walk out the door.

How did this make $87,000? Now that's a REAL miracle. Not completely horrendous. Makes the nearly unwatchable adaptation of The Shack seem even worse by comparison. Still--flat, utterly predictable, by-the-numbers.

Feel like experiencing forgiveness, producers? Mail me back my $8. I'll forgive you then.

Painful. Incredibly hard to watch such unconvincing acting. Once again people in the church attempt to respond to grief and loss with platitudes. As with most Christian movies, the script reads: dilemma, tragedy, overt evangelism, conversion, everything is shiny and happy. Because that's what the gospel is all about...shallow resolution. Barf. Life is so incredibly hard and messy, and Jesus desires to meet us in our pain and, yes, offer redemption and restoration. But He weeps with us in our pain and he walks WITH us through it. He doesn't just offer platitudes and offer quick fixes. Come on Christians, can someone please learn to tell stories of faith in real, convincing, messy, authentic ways?
