Chantigadu (2003)

The son of a widower, teenage Chantigadu (Baladitya) has met the love of his life -- a beautiful girl named Seetamaha Lakshmi (Suhasini) whose father (Ahuti Prasad) is renowned for his cruelty. But the boy's plans for a happy union are thwarted when a temple priest reveals that whoever marries Seetamaha will find his mother dead soon after the ceremony. From then on, Chantigadu does his best to avoid Seetamaha ... but fate has other plans.
