... a movie of manners leavened with sophisticated farce, locates the confused, searching quality of contemporary sexual attitudes as well as any this year.

There is hardly a moment in the whole film when I knew for sure what was going to happen next, yet I didn't feel manipulated; I felt as if the movie were giving itself the freedom to be completely spontaneous.
It's really a unique vehicle for Bujold and Warren as two women on the opposite sides of a 'love' problem.
With the exception of a woman who excuses the black eye her husband gives her ("at least he cared enough to do it"), I actually liked this odd little film which seemed more off-Broadway than Hollywood.
A distinct, self-contained dream world, a vivid alchemy of music, picture, and humanity.
Ultimately it rang hollow, though always diverting and stylishly cool.
Audience Reviews for Choose Me
A pretty unique romance film. It isn't full of the typical romantic film cliches like other similar films. That doesn't mean that it's a great movie either. It's pretty good, as it's unique, has a nice cast of actors, and it's kind of interesting. That said, it could have been better. A little comedy never hurts, for one thing. So, I haven't seen this in a while, but that's what I have to say about what I remember of this film. Overall, it's pretty good, but more for the romantic drama fans.
