A direct-to-video dreary zombie movie.
This is the sort of horror film that hooks you from frame one with both smarts and frights.
...there's simply no overlooking the general sense of incompetence that's been hard-wired into virtually every aspect of the production.
The Plague certainly isn't an awful little chiller flick, but given its crafty opening premise (and the attached name of Clive Barker), I was hoping for a little more from the follow-through.
Audience Reviews for Clive Barker's The Plague
Decent film, good performance by James Vanderbeek. Interesting plot, its not scary but entertaining. Nice ending.

At first, I thought this looked like a promising scary flick. Imagine all children around the world suddenly falling into a coma and after ten years, wake up as mass murdering zombie-like teens. Would have given me a good scare if everyone in the cast of didn't act like everyone else. James Van Der Beek and the lady co-star were annoyingly unemotional while the guy who played "sam" was so over-the-top cheesy that if only i didn't want to know how the movie ended, i would have changed channels. What's even worse is that the ending was so bad and as much as i would like to make sense of it, it doesnt make any sense at all.

It's quite alike "The Village of the Damned" meets "Children of the Corn".
