Movie Info

Silent Western star Bob Custer is once again trapped in one of producer-director J.P. McGowan's parsimonious little oaters, this time playing an investigator hired by the railroad to apprehend a gang of mail thieves. McGowan filmed his Westerns in dusty little California hamlets, using as few interiors as possible. Sally Winters furnished the screenplays, while Hap Depew, Harry Fowler, or Frank Cotner cranked the camera. Code of the West also "benefitted" from a canned music score.
