Zeinabu Irene Davis directs this lyrical tale about a pair of tragic love stories, each about a deaf woman and a man without hearing impairment. The first narrative concerns an ambitious seamstress and an illiterate sharecropper in the 1900s, while the second focuses on a hearing impaired dancer and a rakish librarian set in the 1990s.
