This low-budget WW II melodrama is set on the famous rocky island where American troops took a courageous stand against the Japanese in 1942. However the main plot centers on the romantic rivalry between new male doctors after the love of a female physician as they treat the wounded inside the many catacombs that run beneath the surface. The war scenes were taken from one of the studio's earlier war films.
