I thought it was quite well done... Generally, I think it worked quite well.
Despite her minor rebellions, Mona remains a frustratingly opaque character; a stereotypically troubled woman whose eventual awakening merits a shrug at most.
Familiar but still heartrending...
Donkeyhead is provocative and unafraid to show the dark side of even the closest relationships.
You have money, culture, generations, and it deals with it in a very organic and mature way.
One or two scenes could have been cut to bring Donkeyhead down to a tighter run time. But the film offers many memorable characters and moments and plenty of food for thought about growing up and growing old.
