In this exotic silent drama, a beautiful Chinese woman is to be sold as a slave when a handsome American rescues and sends her to the US, where she quickly learns to adapt to Western ways. Unfortunately, trouble arises in the form of a prominent Chinatown leader who falls in love with her and has her kidnapped. Fortunately, her hero once again rescues her. Afterward he asks for her hand. The tale ends happily when the Chinese leader, who has since discovered that she is also American and was stolen from her Yankee parents when she was just a babe, graciously allows the girl to marry the hero.
