The filmmakers of Enhanced should have titled this movie Flimsy X-Men Ripoff if they wanted more truth in advertising. It's a formulaic and mindless flick about mutants being hunted by humans.
On paper, this is all pretty fun stuff... Watching it, however, isn't much fun at all, even though it's clear that the director is mostly interested in attempting to stage a legibly shot, cleanly choreographed action movie.
Enhanced is certainly derivative but it's also good escapist fun, even if it's the kind of film you'd be more likely to watch on a lazy Sunday afternoon at home than in a theater.
There is nothing new to see here; the movie is a series of sci fi tropes and even repeats itself. There are some nifty fight scenes in this otherwise unspectacular film.
A stilted and unoriginal science fiction film that goes through familiar motions.
