"Extracurricular Activities" tries to give its characters an undeserved happy ending, but the only thing happy about it for the audience is that it's over.
Extracurricular Activities is neither a statement on the increasing nihilism / takeover of Generation Z nor an indictment of their parents' ignorance. Worst of all, it's rarely funny or witty.
Teens vs parents with a twist.
Less blood-soaked than you'd expect from the premise, this smart, funny, dark romp won't keep you up at night, but it will delight you from beginning to end.
