A slice of life movie with sprinkles of martial arts. Sadly, the realistic tournament-style fight scenes were diluted by unnecessary stylized direction and style. I think if the style of the fight scenes were as honest and straight forward as the drama of the movie, the whole package would have gelled better.

veldig bra film! xian Gao har hatt en finger med i spillet med slåss scenene, nydlig filmet. også bra manus som berører aktuelle tema, så en film som er visuelt vakker, med innhold, annbefales :)

I enjoyed this movie very much. I think the essence is not the kung-fu, but the conflict between Aicha, religion and her family. It gave a good idea about the conflicts in immigrant family's in scandinavia and was very educational.

A Danish Kung Fu drama? I was a bit surprised at first too, but it's surprisingly good. It shifts a bit between serious and light hearted, but it works out, and the camera is pretty great I have to say.

Predictable. Formulaic.

Interesting insight to different culture but the fighting was weak. The whole story rotated more about the personal determination and journey.

Even though we've all seen this story a hundred times, it felt shiny and new here. Semra Turan's sad eyes are windows to her soul when she ducks her head and peers up at you in her bright red jacket. Love the soundtrack.

This was a good movie... The push when I went into it was about the fighting, and that was meh... It was more of a "movie" than a kung fu movie.

The social commentary about Danish and Islamic realtions and social difference were pretty facinating and well executed.

Excellent for young viewers. And a visual treat for everybody. Fine young actors. Great soundtrack. A lovely peace of entertaining cinema

Great acting, camera & editing - generic story.. Ironically not much fighting happens. More of a dramatic narrative in the vein of Karate Kid or Million Dollar Baby. Still, enjoyable to watch the characters do their thing.

Decent story that's been done before. Great action and music though. Worth watching. Choreography is amazing !!

This was like a Danish, kung fu version of Bend it Like Beckham, but with a Turkish/Muslim heroine rather than a Indian/Hindu heroine. As a fantasy of that nature, and for dealing with themes of finding your own identity and becoming independent, it works very well. It also has some satisfying fight scenes. It was easily enjoyable and aesthetically pleasing and that??s exactly what I needed after the previous day??s films!

If you wish to see extreme kung fu, flying here n there..do not see this movie. I loved it simply because of its depth, that focuses on a turkish girl who finds escape and release through martial arts. A Must Watch

En rigtig god ungdomsfilm med et strejf af Karate Kid i feminin udgave. Flotte kampscener á la de store kinesiske kung fu-film. Varme anbefalinger herfra...

A great fighter movie with depth. A fight for identity, acceptance, love and belief.
