Critic Reviews for Fitoor
Katrina is good so long as she has to just be herself. So she dances, smiles and flirts cutely but the minute a dramatic scene comes up that patent "moist eyes and dewy lips" act draws attention to her utter inadequacy as a performer.
"Fitoor" doesn't get much political resonance out of its Kashmiri setting, though the wintry sadness of the first scenes has power. Nor does it get much resonance out of class differences between Noor and Firdaus.
The pain, the rejection, the searing desire for revenge, the all-conquering power of love - none of it is adequately conveyed in Fitoor.
In Fitoor each character is less engaging than the last, to the point where I wonder if they were directed at all.
