Fred Hammond and Radical For Christ - Purpose By Design (1996)

Fred Hammond is an anomaly in the world of gospel in that, while most gospel singers come from the Deep South, Hammond was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. Still, he managed to rise up to being one of the most popular and praised contemporary gospel singers. In PURPOSE BY DESIGN, Hammond is joined by his backing choir Radical for Christ in the performance of eighteen spirit-raising gospel songs, some of which are off of his Billboard Number One album.
