I watched this when I was a little kid, maybe 6 or 7 years old, and back then it scared me for years. I watched it again maybe a year ago and realized it's one of the worst movies ever. I wish I could slap my 6 or 7 year old self for ever being terrified of this.
A British take on a "Nightmare on Elm Street" wisecracking killer movie. Since there's little logic, one gets the felling that anything can happen in this film, and one tend snot to care that much about what is happening. It could stand to be a lot funnier.
Plagued by all sorts of production and technical problems (and most likely drugs too). FUNNY MAN is a dark, sometimes mean, incoherent story, stocked full of goofyness and utter weirdness, and lawn gnomes... and I enjoyed it completely. The Funny Man character (who talks directly to the audience) steals the show (love him or hate) in this small but insane flick.
I don't think I have ever seen a film like it! A bit strange would not do it justice, its way out there. A funny and strange movie if ever ive seen one, not sure everyone will get it, it a cult type of movie!
This is another one of those "holy shit" movies. My friends and I try to find some of the worst movies around to watch, hoping that they'll have some entertainment value. We took a chance on this one because it looked like it could have been a good spoof on slasher movies. Instead, we got some sort of stupid British comedy almost. And apparently, this director had no idea about pace because it was one of the slowest movies I've ever seen. Absolutely ridiculous.
Awful British attempt to create a Freddy Krueger/Chucky/ Djinn style horror icon. How sad that a legend like Christopher Lee was reduced to appearing in garbage like this... at least now he's in expensive garbage that he must get paid a lot better for.
