Movie Info

This offbeat story comes from a play by Rochelle Owens. Cyprus Futz (John Bakos) is a farmer in love with a sow named Amanda. He really is enamored by the animal's porcine pulchritude. Things go well for Futz and his bestial beauty until he meets Oscar Loop (Seth Allen), who wishes he could have been his own father. He enters the barn and loses what is left of his mind. He rapes and strangles a young woman (Mari-Claire Cherba) with her own garter belt. The police come after Futz and jail him for the murder of the woman as a surrealistic chorus chimes "They're dragging him off to jail." The ham and eggs aren't the only things scrambled in this black comedy. Members of the La Mama Troupe star in this strange cinematic venture into bestiality.

Critic Reviews for Futz

It dismantles old notions of construction, not like a ball-and-crane wrecking operation, but with logic and discipline, like an expert crew breaking down a set of two-dimensional flats.
