Critic Reviews for Games

Shot on the Universal Pictures lot, this has the staid, well-lit look of the studio's voluminous TV product.

It turned out exactly the way I guessed it would... The basic gimmick (which I wouldn't dream of giving away) is a disappointment.
Pretentiously posh and pointless nonsense.
It's a whodunit, a cheap variation on Les Diaboliques, that never becomes as interesting as it should have been, yet is entertaining without being particularly challenging.
Games is a chiller and if it seems faintly derivative and transparent at times it still has enough macabre elements about it to make it a weirdo of a movie.
Audience Reviews for Games
Odd, creepy film with a feeling of ambivalence towards all the characters. Somewhat predictiable towards the end but Simone Signoret is always worth watching and Caan and Katharine Ross, just before The Graduate, also turn in good work.
