The story of the great LIU Bei: a general, warlord, and later the founding emperor of Shu Han during the Three Kingdoms era of China. Although having a later start than his rivals, also lacking both the material resources and social status they commanded, Liu Bei overcame his many defeats to carve out his own realm, that at its peak spanned modern day Sichuan, Guizhou, part of Hubei, and part of Gansu.

I love this Chinese history... King of Western Chu is my all time idol in order to face challenges from this world. Great movie, great editing, fantastic photography and filming. Good cast and good make-ups.

It's one of the best war movies i've ever watched! its about the true story of a major turning point in ancient Chinese history covering the destruction of the Qin Dynasty.
Bloody battles, hundreds of horses and spectacular costumes in powerful fighting scenes. Political intrigues, prisoners, war and peace tactics.Gong Li perfomance as Lady Liu is awesome.
