Movie Info

Both The Fakers and Smashing the Crime Syndicate were alternate titles for the Al Adamson grindhouse epic Hell's Bloody Devils. Adamson, creator of such masterpieces as Dracula vs. Frankenstein and Blazing Stewardesses, here serves up another embarrassment of riches: Faded stars, cheap sets, hot cycles and scads of gory violence. Converging upon Las Vegas (a pet Adamson locale) are a gang of bikers, a Neo-Nazi group, gangsters, and one would-be vampire (John Carradine). On the Adamson payroll this time are such former greats as Broderick Crawford, Scott Brady, Kent Taylor and Keith Andes, together with the director's usual entourage of relatives and hangers-on. To top things off, no less than Nelson Riddle wrote the musical score. For all we know, The Fakers/Hell's Bloody Devils/Smashing the Crime Syndicate may still be playing in some backwater drive-in to this very day.
